Nearly 350 commercial vehicles weighed during four-hour blitz in Buckeye

Multiple Arizona agencies partnered for a commercial vehicle enforcement detail in Buckeye last week.

From 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on July 1, 2026, Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol troopers with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit took part in an “Arrive Alive Arizona” detail on AZ-85.

Other participating agencies included the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Enforcement and Compliance Division and the Buckeye Police Department.

During the four-hour operation, “ADOT Enforcement officers focused on weighing commercial traffic for compliance, while Troopers and Officers inspected commercial vehicles,” AZDPS said.

See below for results from the July 1 enforcement effort:

  • 20 CMV Inspections
  • 66 Total Violations
  • 5 Drivers Out-of-Service
  • 2 Vehicles Out-of-Service
  • ADOT conducted and found:
  • 348 CMVs weighed
  • 5 CMVs overweight
  • 4 ADOT CVSA Inspections
  • 26 ADOT CVSA Violations
  • 1 CMV placed Out-of-Service
