No CDL and tampered logs among the 350 violations discovered during 3-day blitz on Arizona highway

Arizona law enforcement agencies found hundreds of violations during a commercial vehicle enforcement detail near Payson last week.

From July 15 through July 17, 2026, the Arizona Department of Transportation Enforcement & Compliance Division partnered with Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Highway Patrol troopers with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit for a detail on AZ-87 near Payson.

The top violations included no commercial driver’s license (CDL), no log book or tampered logs, and equipment violations.

Additionally, one driver was cited for drug-related charges, according to AZDPS.
